Coming September 22nd, 2007 to the California Central Coast!
The inaugural Central Coast Code Camp will be held September 22nd and 23rd, 2007, at the Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo, CA.
Yes, that is right! We are going to have our very own FREE Code Camp right here on the Central Coast in September of this year. For those of you not familiar, a code camp is a FREE 2 day seminar put on by software developers in the community and abroad. It takes place on a weekend, so it doesn’t interfere with working hours, and welcomes all people with an interest in sharing development ideas, philosophies, and most importantly CODE.
CODE CAMP RECAP
Thank you all again for attending our first annual Central Coast Code Camp. It was an absolute smashing success that surpassed our best expectations. More than 120 people from as far away as Ventura, Bakersfield, and the Bay Area, came to soak in the knowledge and expertise of our presenters, both local and from as far away as Southern and Northern California, Texas, and Seattle. This was a truly national effort that revealed a lot about how vibrant and living our local technology community really is on the Central Coast!
We are going to do our very best to bring the Code Camp back again next year and we hope to see you all there. Please remember to mention sponsorships to your companies. All it takes is a small monetary effort from ten or so local companies on an annual basis and we can continue to bring Code Camp to the Central Coast.
We have asked the speakers to send us their slides and materials. As we receive them we will load them up on the website for download.
Finally, my personal thanks once again to Softec, the Ecomonic Vitality Corporation, Justin Couto and Couto Solutions, the Arroyo Grande High School Robotics Team, the San Luis Business Center, Woody Pewitt, the excellent staff at the Embassy Suites, all of our volunteers, all of our speakers, the companies that provided our raffle prizes, and anyone I might have forgotten for making this event a success.
Until next year,
Robert Hope and
The Central Coast Code Camp Team
